The AXIOM Family

Teledyne Paradise Datacom introduces the AXIOM IP-centric satellite modem family for point-to-point (P2P) and point-to-multipoint (P2MP) networks.

The AXIOM family is capable of supporting up to 575 Mbps of aggregate throughput and 160,000 IP packets per second. It also supports L2 bridging and L3 routing with full QoS and Traffic Shaping.

The intuitive M&C system is equally user-friendly whether on a laptop PC, Mobile, or tablet
Enhanced Doppler performance for LEO/MEOs accommodating frequency shifts up to ±700 kHz, rate of change up to ±100kHz/s (symbol rate dependent)
Extended L-band operation to 2,150 MHz
Optimized spectral roll-offs, including 5%, 10%, and 20%

AXIOM-N Full-Width Rack Mount Modem

The AXIOM-N is compatible with the rest of the AXIOM family, and our Q-series modems.

AXIOM-C & AXIOM-S Half-Width/ Compact Modems

Designed so that two modems can operate side-by-side in a 19” rack, the AXIOM-C also has reduced depth compared to most modems on the market. This makes it an ideal indoor, compact modem to act as a remote in a point-to-multipoint network.

For installations requiring units powered over wide range floating DC input voltage, we offer the AXIOM-S models.

AXIOM-R Rugged Outdoor IP67 Modem

Designed with robustness as the primary goal, the AXIOM-R has the widest operating temperature range in the family (-40 to +60 °C) and is packed for the toughest environments.

AXIOM-X Modem Card

The AXIOM-X has proved itself in the most misison-critical enviuronments, and features enhanced Doppler performance for comms-on-the-move with LEO/MEO constellations. The AXIOM-X Encryption, is also available, offering TCP/IP packet payload encryption using symmetric AES with 256-bit keys.

Example OEM Integration of AXIOM-X

Our partner, Rugged Logic Inc., has integrated the AXIOM-X into a flight-ready terminal, called the AXIOM-Air. The product provides aircraft SATCOM terminal integrators with a compact and low power DVB-S2X modem. It includes embedded processing for intelligent location-based applications, and a complete set of interfaces for aircraft and antenna systems.
