Paradise has a strong heritage of providing highly secure encrypted SCPC modems for combat operations, defence organisations and governmental communications across the world. Our modems provide the customer with reliable and high-speed SATCOM across multiple applications in challenging tactical environments.
TRANSEC Encrypted Modems
While security is one of the defining characteristics of SCPC modems, some customers require more. AES-256 encryption is available across both Q-Series and AXIOM modems and customers can further secure their networks with our TRANSEC functionality. Our 2nd Generation of TRANSEC is available now across all modems and opens up an exciting new reality of fully encrypted point-to-point, point-to-multipoint or mesh networks with added traffic flow security. For the first time for P2MP networks, all satellite traffic is encrypted including IP and Ethernet headers, ensuring your critical data stays safe and secure.
Traffic Flow Security – Continuous Transmission
Our TRANSEC is based on keeping the channel always occupied at the maximum occupancy even when there is no data being transmitted. This methodology prevents an adversary from determining peak periods of activity, identify unusual or unexpected activity spikes, and identify locations of remotes that have remained quiet for a period of time and suddenly experience increased traffic volumes.
Any gaps in the incoming traffic stream are filled in with injected TRANSEC packets that are the same size as the last uplinked traffic packet. The filled in TRANSEC packets look no different to traffic packets and can vary in size dynamically. At the receiving end, these packets are detected and filtered out by the modem, leaving the original traffic.
Our 2nd Generation TRANSEC requires no additional hardware and can be upgraded to on any Paradise encrypted modem.
